Second Hand News
Hello folks,
It will take time to sort this new site, I never realised how much I needed a proper site or how much hard work is involved. I was given some superb help by Michael
and David at Gardners my wholesaler and they as my primary supplier are excellent. Please if ever you do want a book, just ask. They do 24 hours to me so you only wait 2-3 days and they can ship straight to you but you pay the Postage then.
I was and am still selling books on Amazon, initially like a lot of us, it was an easy option to sell some second hand books and indeed signed copies.
I would love to close my account there and just sell here...but unless I get much more trade/traffic I sadly still need the cash-flow from their platform.
I have loaded up some nearly new 2nd Hand stock on the new site, it's in a Collection- 'Previously Loved' and i will keep adding to it.
However, you could sort of just look on Amazon anyway, often you still will. If you see my business name, 'Beyond Books Media' then why not alter the way we do things, rather than giving Amazon their 20% and probably two lots of postage as I am sure I get charged too....
Email me here on tonythebook@live.co.uk and we can sort a fair price out and use PayPal or I load the specific book onto the new site and you use that.
PayPal is by far the best though, if you send payments as 'family' we both pay no fees, it really helps.
Some of my old stock is new but has edge yellowing and some will have slight turns on covers, any that have been read will have light spine creasing, so ask on condition if it's a matter of need to know.
The really old stuff I inherited from an antiquarian dealer, prices and conditions do vary. Some don't even have ISBNs so it'all takes a bit of cataloging.
It would be great if you follow my business Facebook page as I will post reviews/covers etc there and try and keep my personal page for chats, music, photos. Our Twitter is @tonydoesbooks.
Ideally I will set up a newsletter on here in time too, but purely listing, PR-ing
and trying to stay happy in isolation is enough for now.
Kindest regards,
Tony
