In the Jungle

I was once a very happy boy cub scout, then afterwards went through all the levels right up to University Scouting including Jamborees...

So, I adore Kipling and not the cakes!

I recall the editions Robert Ingpen did a few years back, my own children had quite a collection, they are simply stunning pieces of art, worthy of walls and continued staring, like Kaa does.

I saw this new edition on Instagram by Palazzo editions and cheekily asked o review it, they sent it not just because I'll say it's great...but because I also do Storytelling with Sally-Anne and we are doing events for International Day of the Tiger in July and already feature music form the Jungle Book and several Tiger pieces in our current shows. Hint www.purplepenguinpublishing.com and book us!

Juliet Stanley has done a remarkable job of bringing this timeless classic to a new audience, her style is playful but pertinent, the underlying drama and danger pervade and yet it's not scary, so it WORKS beautifully for multi ages.

When you spend time looking at the exquisite imagery coupled with her words you just feel like you are in India and the sense of touch she writes is perfection.

It has enough for inquisitive older readers who really should investigate Kipling and Blake and others. For younger readers or bedtime telling it is sensational as it's perfectly paced and chapter-ed.

You get all the main ingredients and introduction to wonderful characters such as Chil and Akela, thew names alone are creations of real note.

We will be selling the book when we tell stories or you can use Paypal on my home page and I'll send it.

It's due out on 26th April and is £12.99 rrp don't forget my offer of 20% off and free postage to stop you using amazon though!
So basically it's £10 and good to go... treat someone or buy two and treat yourself.

If you want a real classic that is elegant, enchanting and entertaining and will be loved and reread...this is it!

In the jungle, the mighty jungle the Tiger prowls and hunts the man cub.
Will Little Frog survive? Or will he find a way to use his Jungle Knowledge?

A genuine treat and I can't wait to see and hear what others think

As I once said... I promise to do my best, Akela...

I promise this is a 10/10 book and I'm first dibs on it.
